"Alice is Asian" wins the inaugural TOWebfest/CMF Next Up! Live Pitch Competition

It was my first time pitching my original series “Alice is Asian” and what an absolute HONOUR to be awarded the top prize! Thank you to the incredible jury for your support of my concept, to Leah Rifkin for her coaching and support, and TOWebfest/the CMF for the prize winnings! (It has always been my dream to win a giant cheque. I took it home on the Subway and folks warned me to not flash my wealth, unfortunately you can’t deposit the foam cheque).

Logline: When biracial perfectionist Alice is dumped for an Asian pageant queen, she makes a misguided attempt to win her ex back by “excelling in Asian”
